There Won’t be PSP 4000

PSP is a dying business for Sony. Somebody needs to save it from its pit. Time will come, this console will be forgotten and old geeks will be the one playing the gizmo. If the company pushed it to have a 4000 model, it will be a tragedy. The much awaited 3000 model were a big disappointment for psp owners because its ups were a bit frustrating and there’s no reason to for us to upgrade.
The only logical reason why Sony released PSP 3000 was to address the piracy issue, I believe. They are forced to do it because sales for game developers dwindled down in the past year. Today, unlike before that every week there’s a new good game coming out for PSP, developers are slowly backing out because its becoming unprofitable business.
We must understand that Sony did this action to entice new developers for the console but this just frustrates PSP 2000 owners because it was just released last year. For people who are planning to buy PSP, it is a good thing because the new model is prized just the same. Does that mean that the PSP 2000 is going to be a bargain? Again, its another loss for Sony.
This is a shaky business for Sony. Can we expect a 4000 model for PSP or is it better for Sony to start brainstorming for new portable console? If Sony will push a 4000 model, how long will it take for us to even see a preview? I hope the new feature will be worth upgrading.

Guess what, PSP-4000 is projected to come out before Christmas this year. No joke. And no, I’m not mistaken.
The sad thing is that the PSP is a very high-quality, well designed device, yet the one that gets the most sales is the DS with its half-assed hardware.
This just makes my blood boil….
Seriously I just bought a PSP 2000 last year, along with the $30 remote/headphone/mic. and then they release a PSP with the integrated mic. SERIOUSLY. Why didn’t they wait until they could come out with a revolutionary handheld if that was the case. Put in a cam and a second analog… Then I might think about upgrading.

i think the 4000 will come out but its probably gonna be at the end of this year or in the mid of next year and i think its gonna kick ass
Of course it will kick ass…… well it has to otherwise this whole psp thing will turn out a major flop. Sony just has to reinvigorate the psp with revolutionary new features just like what nintendo does with every new release (e.g the ds had touch screen and the wii is motion controlled) so the psp should be six axis integrated and have ALOT of new games, simple as that and i bet the psp will outperform the ds. Period.
I thinks its retarded that sony even made a psp3000 because its pretty much the same as the slim!! Why the f*** did they do that ??!?! THEY NEED TO MAKE A WHOLE NEW SYSTEM .

For the Psp 3000 it is not possible to install custom firmware on it (for playing pirated games and using homebrew software). Sony did it to counter piracy ,nothing else.
All it needs is two damn analog sticks thats all that it needs all those other upgrades are useless, everybody has been requesting two analog sticks since the anouncement of the psp 2000 it has been making my blood boil that they have just been ignoring everybodies requests!!!!!
i got a used psp at the begining of 2009 on january 1st, i got the 1000 because i heard its better. its cool,but i want to hook it up to the tv…errr.if they are building a 4000, hopefully they will have a camra atleast..also have other formats instead of mp4 and avix. anyways i don’t understand whats wrong with the 2000 and 3000, but i love my psp. the ds would of had the chance if it had more futures other then playing mario and sending drawings of boobs to each other.

Yes. No UMD Drive, Bull—t. No camera. Bull aswell. The screen size is probably the only real upgrade.And the sliding, thats all. The PSP-4000 Is most likely going to be a downside on sony’s products. Hopefully the Wifi will be better…….
I think there will be a PSP-4000 if not it will be a PSP2. Tehy would be stupid to give up on the PSP
i dont know why people are comparing psp to ds there just not comparible psp has real game console(ps2, ps3,xbox) sorta grafics but ds has game boy graphics.but why did they make a psp 3000 its same as 2000 just little better screen and mic they shoul of waited for4000 and then put those features and more on it.
first of all to the idiot who said ds is better than psp u r a complete moron the ds was just about to die till they came out with Pokemon d/p but then they started making those gay ass brain games and garbage like that again the ds is back on the road to destruction once more the dsi is no better still the same games anyway and u can just get an r4 for the ds and download games from that all the dsi really enhanced was the stupid pictochat with the built in cam u don’t really need that for anything else i think they should make more games like Mario kart and the two shonen jump superstar games second u can hack a psp 3000 but u need this special battery that has just barely come out and its not the Pandora battery although they really do the same thing that is probably y Sony might come out wit the 4000 so early if u guys don’t believe me about any of this just research for ur selves
oh and by the way if it weren’t for Nintendo supporting and making the Pokemon games bak for gbc there probably wouldn’t be any psp or ds so i do give kudos to Nintendo for that but otherwise they should just retire from consoles and focus on games like Sega did

The 3000 model is not a disappointment. The screen is much better and you can use TV out in game. It doesn’t piss off 2000 series owners at all.
