Ps3 Sale Price

PS3 and Auction Sites

Have you ever tried to find a PS3 on sale? The demand is keeping the price high. It can be discouraging if you’re trying to save a few bucks.

I feel your pain! I have tried to justify the item in so many ways for so long. I figured I could sell all my old PS2 games and console and start building a PS3 fund. I’ve thought about going through my closet and digging out my old jeans to see what they might fetch on eBay. I’ve even gone through my garage looking for tools that I don’t use to sell them online. I even once had a garage sale to sell all my old junk so I could fund the purchase of the PS3. It was hard to justify the time spent after I counted my till and it came up to just over $50. As an aside, garage sales are not the way to go! I definitely recommend auctioning your old stuff off on eBay, you’ll make much more money.

I’ve been there before. There really is no comparison with other gaming consoles. A primary selling point for me is that it is Blu-Ray. Obviously, the games are awesome in HD and I just upgraded my Netflix membership to include Blu-Ray/HD movies as well. Try selling that angle to the wife! Truthfully, once I got my wife hooked on Hi-Def TV we’ve never looked back. I had won her over on every point exept the price.

I’ve done some research and what I’ve found is that if you want the best gaming console on the market and you want to play Blu-Ray DVDs there simply isn’t a better value than the PS3. Even when it’s not on sale! You’ll spend $200-250 bucks on a basic Blu-Ray player anyway. While XBox does offer HD it is not the preferred format. The real issue is getting a PS3, if at all possible, at a discount.

I searched on eBay and some other traditional auction sites and found that there really aren’t any ps3 sale prices out there. The value may be there but the overall cost is higher because of all the stuff they include. The goal here is to spend as little money as possible, not more.

In the end I had to get outside the box. I started investigating unique bid auction sites. There are a few decent ones out there but the one that stands out to me is www.auctions4acause.com. They have more everyday items available for auction, including the PS3, than any of the other sites. Most other sites focus on really high-dollar items like cars, boats, houses and land. That’s all well and good but I just want a PS3!

After I found that site I know it was exactly what I needed. They had the item I wanted and it was possible for me to get it very cheap. I went there and created an account. I placed 3 bids and hoped that they were unique and the lowest. Alas, I didn’t win the first time around. A few days later another was being auctioned. I placed a few more bids and slept well that night. Bingo! This time I had a winner. 1 week later I was unboxing my new PS3. All I had spent on it was $59.64. Pretty darn good, huh?

It can take a few minutes of reading to truly grasp the concept of the lowest unique bid auction style. But once you get it, it can be addicting. Since that time that I won the PS3 I’ve bid on and won 3 other items including an iPod Nano (they have the best ipod prices) and $400 gas card. I’ve won over $1,200 worth of stuff for about $350 in bid fees.

So don’t go searching at Best Buy or Circuit City or Walmart for the best prices on the things you want. You can surely get a great deal when you go register at Auctions4aCause.
