Sony BRAVIA KDL-52W4100 Customer Review
I purchased this TV in January 2009 and I think it’s an absolutely hot buy.
Some people said that the TV has issues while the black shades are changing. Ilooked at this in the store with great details and have used it for a one month and I have’t noticed that at all. This is a super sharp TV with superior colors and deep black tones. This tv Set is much better than the old TV model from the same W series.
Here are the the reasons why you should purchase this TV. It has a very perfect image in digital broadcast and is doing a flawless job in standard definition transmission a lot better than several other TVs I have used. For that it’s respossible a nice technology from Sony named DSP which is basically noise reduction technology. Sony is familiar with Blu-ray because they manufactured it, they know whit color tones should look like I mean they hold a movie studio, the menus are actually simple to use, it has a built in TV guide and it has can be upgraded.
Picture quality is really near Samsung in digital broadcast. I looked at both TVs side by side. Samsung is slightly better on sharpnes in analog broadcast. Samsung is more shiny, Sony has a matte screen but blacks on Samsung are solid because it has a glossy screen. While viewing a Blu-ray disc,Sony is showing a more detailed image. No fade from bright to dark issues on Sony as some reviews has said. Colors are nice and bright as Sony Bravia 2 engine is outstanding, maybe even better than XBR engine.I have found that the Z series is better but there isn’t 52 inche models
Tv menus on TVs are made for experts with a lots of tweeks, but actually it’s confusing for average user. If you don’t believe me, download the user manual for the Samsung LN52A650 and for Sony KDL524100 and check for yourself. If you are technical expert, then buy Samsung. If you don’t like to get lost in menus, but you want an topnotch picture, go with the Sony. Ths Sony TV is truly simple to use, but also it it will find you channels itself and is like having a built in cable box.
The Sony television may not have the Ethernet connector and built in news like the series 6 from Samsung, but it has the built in TV guide and upgrade possibility. But, if you want internet in your TV, you are better to be connected through other device. The TV guide option in this television is great and the Sony Bravia Sync is very good especially when you use a Sony DVD converter for 1080p. Picture in Picture technology is great as well because it’s allowing you to view picture from HDMI while viewing cable TV.
A favorite feature on Sony KDL52W4100 is the on/off button on the top side as this is keeping children from shuting down televison. Also a great thing is the remote on the Sony as it is very simple to operate.
So, if you like the a very clear picture, simple to use LCD TV with characteristics that makes standard television viewing fulfilling and simple. This Sony KDL52W4100 is excellent choice.
You can check Sony KDL52W4100 on LCD TV Reviews portal. If you don’t like Sony check Samsung LN52A650.
