The gaming market, as with any other industry, is a strongly competitive area. Major consoles and developers are continually striving to promote theirown goods and propel their products in front of their rivals. One way to slip ahead in this sense is by holding exclusive products which aren’t released on rival consoles. These games are often so famous that in some extraordinary cases fans may purchase a console solely to access a particular title. Some Playstation 3 exclusives hold just that ability.
It’s true to claim that Playstation 3 exclusives have suffered a little late ly. Their competitors, Microsoft’s Xbox 360, have wrestled a few Playstation exclusives from Sony and earned the right to host them on their own console aswell. The famous case here is Final Fantasy XIII, which both thrilled Xbox fans but seriously irritated Playstation fans. More have gone before aswell, including Tekken 6 and Tomb Raider Underworld to cite a small example.
But PS game-players should not be too disappointed, they have still got a number of brilliant Playstation 3 exclusives to try. Little Big Planet, notwithstanding being released ages ago, is still an enormous success and continues to win custom with PS Store extras. The Ratchet and Clank series remains a highly prized exclusive aswell, along with Uncharted, which is hailed as one of the finest new franchises in gaming history.
Anticipation is also building for a selection of approaching Playstation 3 Exclusives aswell. Heavy Rain, the cutting edge new ‘interactive movie’ is exclusive to this machine, together with lauded RPG White Knight Chronicles. And of course, who could forget the hard hitter himself- Kratos. Yes, God of War 3 blasts back to our consoles soon- only on Playstation 3.
Lots to get pumped up about then. Sony retains a number of brilliant exclusives, and the Playstation 3 remains arguably the most successful and technically skilled next gen console. Playstation 3 Exclusives are used to boast the genius and power of the console itself- and no-one can argue with the results.
