The videogame market, as with any other industry, is a strongly competitive area. Major machines and producers are constantly striving to promote their goods and launch their products ahead of their rivals. One way to slip ahead in this sense is by securing exclusive products which aren’t released on other consoles. These games are regularly so anticipated that in some intense cases fans may buy a console just to play a certain title. Some Playstation 3 exclusives have just that power.
It is correct to assert that Playstation 3 exclusives have suffered a bit recent ly. Their competition, Microsoft’s Xbox 360, havesuccessfully grabbed a few Playstation exclusives from Sony and earned the right to host them on their own console too. The widely known case here is Final Fantasy XIII, which both elated Xbox fans but seriously irritated Playstation fans. More have gone before too, including Tekken 6 and Tomb Raider Underworld to cite a small example.
However, PS game players shouldn’t be too angry, they still have a bunch of excellent Playstation 3 exclusives to try. Little Big Planet, despite being released years back, is still alarge hit and continues to generate custom through PS Store extras. The Ratchet and Clank series remains a highly sought after exclusive aswell, together with Uncharted, which is lauded as one of the best new series in gaming history.
Anticipation is also building for a variety of upcoming Playstation 3 Exclusives too. Heavy Rain, the cutting edge new ‘interactive movie’ is exclusive to this console, together with lauded RPG White Knight Chronicles. And naturally, we can’t forget the heavy hitter himself- Kratos. Indeed, God of War 3 blasts back to our consoles soon- only on Playstation 3.
Plenty to get pumped up about then. Sonystill keeps a range of brilliant exclusives, and the Playstation 3 remains potentially the most impressive and technically proficient next gen console. Playstation 3 Exclusives are used to reflect the genius and capabilites of the console itself- and few can disagree with the results.
