PSP Recording Tech Demo

Digg! Delicious Bookmark this on Delicious

I’m testing my recording setup for my upcoming LP of Final Fantasy 4: The Complete Collection on the PSP. For this video, you will want to watch it in a 16:9 resolution, as that is how the video is output from the PSP. If you have suggestions for how to improve the recording, if at all, let me know. Thanks for watching!

I think the video and sound, is good. The text does have a ‘little blur’ to it, but i don’t personally think its a big deal. Looks good enough to me and probably good enough to you. Though I thought that the PS3 had a ‘connect’ set up to it where it connects the PS3 with the PSP. Though I don’t own one I’ve looked at the settings, but i’m probably wrong on that. Anyway, looks good looking forward to the LP ‘if’ you do it.

I hope you do decide to do a LP of FFIVCC, ’cause that game is totally awesome.

Hi HC, didn’t you say you were going to do a “new” FF IV walkthrough? Is that still on?

Holy hell i just picked the game up xD

@HCBailly I hear you mentioning the HD PBR for screen recording and was looking to get one for console games is it worth it

The number of Radiant Historia copies sold at the local game store has fluctuated all thanks to HCBailly. Next thing you know it, Gamestop will get a ton of sales for Final Fantasy IV The Complete collection all thanks to HCBailly too.

The video quality is remarkably good on my 2560×1440 resolution screen, very nice!

Also @HCBailly do you know whether it’s possible to somehow use a different controller (for example the PS3 controller) instead of the PSP itself to play PSP games, and could it be played on the TV? I would really love to play some good RPG’s on my PSP, it’s just that I prefer looking at a big TV screen instead of a small PSP screen, and use a PS3 controller instead of the PSP controls. Cheers!

This looks perfect

Jesus Christ…he cliff hanged a tech demo. Mind = blown.

You might want to use Remotejoy and FRAPS to record the gameplay. Remotejoy can show you what your doing on your PSP is you’ve connected it to a computer. So if you use FRAPS or Camtasia to record, you’ll get awesome quality. I have a personal recemendation towards Camtasia, only $30 bucks, and it uploads videos to YouTube with 7020p so, Camtasia is the way to go IMHO.

Looks and sounds perfect. Chalk it up as a success.

Looks great. I may have to skip ahead to this if you start before I’m done catching up again.

I have to say I am excited as Hell at the chance to see you Let’s Play another Final Fantasy. Your videos are awesome. Are you planning on doing one for Final Fantasy XIII-2 once it is released?

So HC will you do both ff4 and AA or just AA?and would you consider a LP of Final Fantasy 1 Aniversary Eddition also on psp?

HC, ive been watching your Let’s Plays for quite awhile and I gotta say that its such a joy for me to experience these incredible games with you each and every day. As a fan of your videos, I want your other fans to know, who might be unaware, that there is legislation, SOPA(stop online piracy act) and pipa(protect IP) that congress is considering that could put an end to videos like these under the veil of copyright protection. Look up sopa/pipa, learn, and act now, before its too late.F4F~

this is great. i am stuck on something in the interlude and original on my psp, and stuck on the final chapter and rydia’s chapter in the after years. i cant wait for this

I was so hyped that there’s a decent way to record PSP games, but apparently the component cables aren’t compatible with my creaking behemoth of a PSP-1000.

@HCBailly Thanks, but I don’t think we have Best Buy here, in Denmark though… And my question was more about what I get and not so much about the price… I live for the story of a game (mostly). Would I miss out on a lot if I just got the Wii After Years or would it be worth having two of essentially the same game to get some extra material on the PSP? Which would you prefer? And thanks again for the answer… :)

The quality looks good to me,I notice the little fuzziness in the words like you said, but its not even a problem, the graphical difference between this version of the After Years and the wii version is pretty cool,Im even more pumped for this than I already was

It looks great!

This looks pretty damn good from a quality standpoint, HC! I might try to fudge around with my PSP and TV, considering I have custom firmware… which, by the way, is completely legal to have as long as you don’t use it for pirating games.

I always use the snes bgm

Wow, its nice how you have the option to play the good old SNES music. It sounds great.

Looking very forward to this, HCBailly.

I cant wait for this LP im so excited.

Looks good, HC. I’ll be looking forward to you LPing FF4 in it’s entirety. :D
